Hi there- first of all, I found your blog a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed following your journey! Several years ago, I lost weight with WW and was looking slim and trim. Then I had two kids so I'm back trying to lose 40 pounds.:( It's encouraging reading your blog!

Anyway, I have been noticing your journal and have some tips that help me when I get stuck in a plateau. First of all, I noticed the large amount of packaged food and processed food on your list. My family usually eats very little packaged, processed, or even canned food, and NEVER frozen entrees! I may fix a recipe now and then with some canned ingredients, but I've noticed if I do that too much in a week, I don't lose weight. On weeks that I lose a lot of weight I typically eat mostly fresh veggies (LOTS of green ones), 1-2 fresh fruits (5 servings of fresh veggies and fruits a day at least), lean proteins (baked chicken, baked fish, etc), LOW fat dairy (NEVER fat free), and only 1-2 servings of whole grains a day (and never any breads/carbs after lunch). Having two kids, this is hard for me, but I try to make their snacks consist of fresh fruit, FF yogurt, or LF cheese with whole grain crackers.

I prepare all of our food myself and only use fresh or frozen ingredients most of the time. Nothing fancy so that it doesn't really take any more time than "convenience" foods.

Maybe try one week cutting way down on the frozen entrees and "health" junk food. While these things are low fat and fit within points, I have found that they really slow my weight loss. Perhaps start by cutting down Lean Cuisine to every other day rather than trying to eliminate cold turkey? When I worked I would prepare my lunch the evening before.

I don't know if this will help or not...but it's just what works for someone who has been in the weight loss journey before and who is back in it again! Good luck and thanks for sharing your journey on your blog!
