Whooo Hoooo! Only 97 more days until the presidential election. I think that our democracy and voting process are very important, but I am so beyond sick of all the mud slinging. I will be so glad when it is over.I know I sound like a cynic, but neither of them is the perfect candidate and both are likely just telling us what we want to hear and aren’t likely to keep their promises once in office.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your blog entry about hybrid dog breeds (labs and poodles). I just get furious when I see folks selling cocker mixes for thousands of dollars claiming that they are better, healthier dogs. I breed cockers (very occasionally and very carefully), and I am know the dedication that goes into producing a healthy sound purebred. These backyard breeders producing these mixes never consider (and can't consider give their lack of pedigree research/availability)the health aspects that must be considered when putting ANY two dogs together. I just really appreciated your thoughts. I wish your page on this issue had more exposure as you addressed all of the issues at hand perfectly.
